Sunday Aug. 12 was a westbound return from Antonito, pulled by 483. Still morning, here they are at the little cut leading out of the Whiplash:

Back in Chama, we happened to catch The Pineapple down at the wye, in process of turning RPO 65 which had been repainted green that summer. I can't make out who is in the cab, but Bernie Watts and Dave Rusconi are on the footboards. To avoid turning 19 around, they had to drop the RPO on the north leg and then run back through the wye. Here they are grabbing the RPO to pull it back into the yards. I never figured out why it was necessary to turn it around, though, nor why it was never given any lettering.
