Probably the most important thing when writing the letters is to space yourself as much from the railway as possible. Don't make it seem that someone put you up to it, or that you saw a whole sloo of people badmouthing CHS on NGDiscussion.net (whatever we say about the CHS they do in fact deserve, however, don't mention this in your letter!). You could just writing in saying "we used to visit the GLR every time we went to Denver and we loved it. The crews were so nice, and the trains were beautiful. The unique logging engines (you dont even have to mention Shay) were very nice and it was the only time I've seen something like this. Colorado will be at a great loss without an attraction like the Georgetown Loop" etcetera, etcetera. You don't need to mention you're a railfan, or a railroad employee...of course unless you want to. I think a letter such as the above would represent the average Georgetown Loop guest; not particularly a railfan, not really a steam locomotive mechanic either; just an average person. And then get your friends to write in too. Deaf ears are a common thing, but it never hurts to try.
