Thank you for posting this interesting photo. 476 look like what the two K28s looked like on the 1968 "Mad Dash". Where they were missing the upper portions/screens on their diamond stacks. I think Earl stated the screens were carried on the decks of the tenders. Hopefully if there was a diesel fan on this trip, they weren't overly traumatized by 476 being on the front for a portion of the trip. Thanks again for the pic.
