The D&RGW track to the union depot and joint D&RGW/AT&SF yard ran down the center of Guadalupe, sharing the right-of-way with trucks and automobiles. On August 20, 1927, AFE 3422 was approved to place wooden planks between the rails on Guadalupe Street from North Line of Montezuma Avenue to North Line of Agua Fria Street. The estimated cost of the project was $2,257.08. Work began on September 5, 1927, and was completed November 28, 1927. Santa Fe put a speed limit of 4 miles per hour on this section from the wye to the depot."
