Re: RGS Goose #7 historic and model content

Doing the restoration on Goose 7 we replaced the front "running lights" These were automotive clearance lights. Small ones that were hooded. There
were pieces of the green glass lenses still left in the originals. The rear lights were red automotive tail lights. We were able to match the original lights with ones from J.C. Whitney. The replacements were a close match of the originals. Forgive me Jeff for I have sinned. The back up light is mounted over the rear door. This is the original automotive headlight that we rehabbed and reattached. When restoring any of the equipment we have tried to restore or match the originals. sometimes that is not possible. 7 was missing the coal stove when the CRRM got it. I was able to find the same Montgomery Ward type of stove at a garage sale, which was installed. Old heads have told me this is a correct one. Go figure.
