And speaking of money. I remember going to a bank in Tubarao, Brazil (think EFDTC) and trying to cash a U.S. Dollar denominated travelers check. Sorry, inflation is so bad the exchange rate will have changed by the time the check gets to the Central Bank. What to do. I was out of cash.....in any denomination. Then I saw a VISA logo. Can I get a cash advance in the local currency (I think it was the Cruzieros then) on my credit card.....no problema.
