All operating personnel - train crews and engine crews were based in Durango and Alamosa. Hostlers came from Alamosa, usually by road or in severe winter weather, by train. A roundhouse foreman was stationed in Chama until November 1967. At least in 1964, and maybe later, there was also a pipe fitter in Chama. And then of course, there was Mr. Trotter, the Chama agent, as well as the section crews. Earl may have more information.
