As best as I can determine from the first two views, the first taken in 1976 and the second in 2003,
and from examining current Google satellite and street views, the new shops appear to be located just north of the old shops. What I can't figure out looking at the current situation is where this view was
relative to the station. It looks to have been a mile or so east along the mainline. All in all the current situation in Duran seems to be completely different than back in 1978 and before.
