Another update: It rained Saturday, which made riding in the open Motor 1 and rider gondola 1020 unpleasant, so the new (to us) switch engine hooked up to D&RG caboose 19/0575 and carried 85 passengers for free rides around our operations loop, the first time that people have ridden in the caboose since at least 1953. Total free rides this year now total 1530.

Goose 4 should be back in Ridgway before Railroad Days. We'll keep you posted.
