I was on the 1:35 double header and it was tremendous! Even the downpour didn't dampen my spirits! When we started back down and had to halt because of the rocks on the track at the fill it just added to the ambiance giving us a taste of what Colorado NG railroading must have been like!
I've got some great photos to go with my memories of one of the most interesting trips that I have taken by steam train. Thanks go to everyone at the GLR!
On another note, WOW! Did you get a good look at that mudslide over above I-70?!! It more closely resembled a waterfall of mud and stone than it did a simple mudslide!
