We had a rock slide of our own on the RR. During and following that torrential downpour, as many as 8-10 rocks slid down the hillsides onto the track. A large one in the hand-laid rock cut between Pin Truss Bridge and Lebanon Mine Stop took a chunk or two out of shay #12's rear footboard. The Extra 40 was stopped at Hall Tunnel for a good 30 minutes while this rock, and various others, were removed from the ROW. Made more than one quick stop going upgrade on the Extra 40 to clear the track...
Great day in spite of the weather though...couldn't have asked for a better day
3 engines under steam on the Loop!
