Several years ago a UP Govt affairs person & I had to explain that "Common Carrier" rule to 3 US Congresspersons, all of which were lawyers. They sat with glazed looks in their eyes like they'd slept through that part in law school. Two of they got it quickly (or maybe remembered what I told them), the third just wanted to argue. The Govt affairs person was getting a little miffed at her ignorance, especially because she was one of the sponsors of the CREATE Project legislation in Chicago. (I mean are they really supposed to read those things first?)

I remember her every time her name comes up because she struck me as dumb as a box of rocks and little she's said since that day has convinced me of otherwise.
