Thanks Jeff and Brian, having traveled about 100 times over both highways in the last 50+ years I have considered 395 to have slightly less grade (other than Sherwin grade out of Bishop), and is certainly a wider highway than 6 in most places. Once you get over Montgomery pass on 6 and the road is probably flatter and certainly the road less traveled.
