395 has the great grade up to Conway Summit and then there is all the twist and turn along the Walker River.

Most truck traffic from the Reno/Sparks area to Southern California goes via US95, Nevada 360 (past Bellville site), US6 to get to the Owens Valley

I read a traffic study done by CAL-Trans a few years ago and it reported that the majority of such truck traffic goes via highway 6.
