The recent shot that Roger posted at [ngdiscussion.net] gives a good view of some of the same area, John -
Although from a much different angle. I especially like seeing the old dirt road around the little tarn in the background of Olaf's photo. What little is left of the road 55 years later is hidden by the trees in Roger's shot. There's still quite a bit of open meadow, but there are more aspen and the pines seem bigger now. And of course in 1966 the new road's ugly gash across the lower face of Windy Point isn't there yet . . .
