The boxcar appears to have a link and pin coupler setup, but it also seems to have an air hose for brakes.

Also look at the height of the man standing closest to the track. He and all the men seem quite short compared to the box car height and the track width (gauge).
IT looks to me like the track and box car may have been added to the photo.
