Here is a shot of one of my very favorite locomotives that did not make it to preservation. This is Oregon Lumber Co. #100 Heisler c/n 1510 which was built in Nov. of 1924 and weighed in at 50 tons. She was used on the Oregon Lumber Company's narrow gauge logging railroad out of Bates, Oregon where this photo was taken. #100 cost the company $17,100 which is a pretty substantial outlay, but would serve the company to the end of operations out of Bates in 1947. Sadly she was scrapped in 1954.
