Many employees of Corporate America are not aware that many companies have monies available for donation to non-profit organizations for whom their employees donate time and labor. As an example, Conrail would donate a days pay for each day one of their employees would donate a days labor from his/her vacation. The employee gets a break from his ordinary routine, he gets a tax deduction on his travel expenses, and the organization gets some money. Check with your human resources department.
