RR Merchandise

Your posts have proven one of my theories about railroad enthusiasts likes. That is that there are so many varied off-shoots of an already limited aspect of the hobby that it is impossible to please everyone, and still make a profit. And, don't forget most merchandise is made for a profit, and that is probably the main reason for what is out there. I personally relate to the San Juan extension because it was there in the mid-1950's when I first visited as a young lad. Rio Grande Southern, and the rest were essentially long gone. Also calendar makers can probably get some business off of the fact that the C&TS and Silverton still operates most of the locomotives and some of the rolling stock from the "Good old Days". Hard to duplicate the Rio Grande southern, or some other lost narrow gauge line. Just my 2.5 cents.
