As per Dylan's excellent overview of the Colorado & Wyoming, the book "Mountain to Mill" by William McKenzie is an excellent history and covers all of the divisions.
The C&W is still an existing short line railroad operation and manages switching at the mill in Pueblo for the successor to CF&I, EVRAZ Rocky Mountain Steel, as well as other customers. After the line out of Jensen was removed, C&W left several locomotives in the still intact Jensen yard for several years. I inspected them in preparation for a "one time move" under FRA so they could be moved back to Pueblo for scrapping.
To keep on topic, the narrow gauge Crystal River operations out of Redstone, CO were also CF&I operations, same as the C&W.
