Apparently, from what I can piece together, what Jeff is getting at is that a new septic tank was placed on the sand house site and all traces of the building (ie foundation and or other remnants) were destroyed and removed as part of the excavations for said septic tank, with the dirt from the excavation being used as ballast for one of the rebuilt tracks.
If this is true, it is a major bummer as a modern septic tank could go any of the multiple places on the property that were not occupied by the archeological remains of one of the support structures for the Como roundhouse. Seems rather short sighted to destroy the history of a historical site that you are supposedly working to preserve, but I guess no one wants to stand in the way of "progress" and by god, they "got something done"
