I don't recall having to penetrate any serious fences – or even seeing any "No Trespassing" signs – when I crossed the trestle to take this shot from the northeast side in late September, 1975

As to what caused the fire on 06/12/10, it was most likely a cinder fallen from the locomotive that was fanned by the evening breezes —
but I doubt we'll ever really know
