Brian, thanks for the correction on #10 being in service on the E&P. My info was from an old source. Your list is transposed, #8 became #14 on the SVRy as you say. #9 a 4-4-0 became Oregon Lumber Co. #103 and #10 became #15. The engine that was not shipped south was former SVRy 1st #10. It was an 0-6-0 that was converted to a 2-6-0 by the OSL before coming the SVRy. On paper at least it became SVRy 2nd #14 when another engine received the #10 spot on the roster. However, a photo of 1st #10 on the South Baker dead line shows it clearly out of service and still numbered #10 even though a new #10 replaced it. This same dead line has the E&P #9 sitting behind it not yet rebuilt for service on the OLC, so we know the photo was taken 1912 or perhaps into the following year. In other words 1st. #14 was apparently too worn out to be shipped to Nevada, and too worn out for SVRy to bother renumbering it to #14.
