I must confess that when I first laid claim to my namesake rock back in '08, there was evidence that I wasn't the first to discover it.  I should have guessed it was you – and probably Ernie – who had beaten me there by nearly half a century (and probably others half a century or more before that).

Here's a shot OF, not FROM, Russo's Rock — as invaded by a flock of foamites on the occasion of the westbound journey of D&RG #425 (masquerading as D&RGW #315) on 09/13/09 — by some strange coincidence exactly twelve years ago today: *

*  IIRC, that was the trip on which you and I got re-acquainted after not seeing one another since the last D&RGW freights in August of 1968.

p.s.  The road at the lower left of the first photo in your first set sure looks a lot better back then than it does now.
