As is so often the case, the photographs create more questions than they answer. Interesting drive wheels, especially the small counterweights. What sort of speed do they run? What's the seating arrangement inside the coaches? I've seen 30 inch gauge equipment using 1-and-1 seating and sometimes 2-and-1 seating with widths in the 7 foot range. There was quite a bit of 30 inch gauge (or similar 750mm) in eastern Europe.

The crews probably appreciate the chilly weather. I expect those enclosed cabs get a bit toasty when it's warm out.
