Not photoshopped, they are patched. My suspicion is that these are former Denver & Rio Grande Western Railway (the Utah company, Grand Junction to Ogden Utah, legally separate from the D&RG and of no relation to the modern D&RGW) cars that were sold to the Rio Grande Southern when the D&RGWRy was reorganized into the Rio Grande Western Railway for standard gauging. This may explain why they are in Pueblo; the D&RG probably took them that far east then stuck them on another train to head back west to their new owners. This is very well documented, and everything the Rio Grande Southern did not buy from the Rio Grande Western was shoved off the end of a spur at Thistle Utah and burned.
