Excellent photos of the SP 18 - 480 double header. Glad to see the rain held off for you. That was not the case yesterday (Friday). The double header pulled into Silverton in a rain shower. By the time the train was ready to back out, the intensity of the rain was diminishing, and I went back to get my camera (Jack and I were already wet from our return hike from Bullion King lake).
The last of the (not necessarily rain proofed) passengers are heading into town and the train is starting to back up
The diesel train will be calling in it's passengers in 45 minutes
The double header is setting out the train next to the depot so that 480 can run to the wye and SP 18 can take over the train for the turning operations
18 is pulling 480 ahead to clear the switch
