I was inclined to think that 493's unique chuff was the result of a smokebox with no cyclone and no spark arrestor. It reminds me of the sound of a Black 5 or similar British engine. I'll wait for more videos of/testimonies about 473's new stacktalk to determine if the conversion makes a noticeable difference, but for now i'd assume that since K-28s use(d) an MM front end and have a taller, narrower stack than a K-37, 473 and 493's changes in sounds aren't gonna be identical
