Hey Guy,
The Scale House listed on the C&S Field notes is as follows:
Building #39 6'3" x 8'0" x 8' eaves, painted outside
Roof g/3 shingles Painted on 1" on 2x4@ 2'cc
8" Proj. s.cld + painted
Walls 1" O.C. B & B on 2' - 2x4 girt & p.
fl.-dbl 1" on 4 2x6
fdn. - 2x6 all around
1 door 2-5 x 6-6 1 x 6" T&G
2 windows 2'x 2-8 4 lts sldg
1 arm box 8" x 7' x 5' ht. ptd. in & out of 1x4 T&G
hing door 20" x 6' of 1 x 4 T&G
That's about it, the scale and scale house don't appear on the valuation maps. I got these from the field notes.
Look as I might, I can't locate the Scale track on the mile-by mile portion of the Valuation either.
As far as this not being a place for C&S... Balderdash.... The C&S had plenty of 3' gauge. It would be like saying, "No D&RGW because they sold and abandoned their 3' gauge too".
