That is really neat, thanks for the pic. Apparently the stiped pole wasn't an oddity or maybe it was for the Salida area. See this pic of 497 arriving Salida in 1941--note the crossing light pole to the left of the engine. Picture taken by Bob Lunoe and in the Friends collection.
