Weed City was near Lobato and was a western town built by Hollywood in the early days of the C&TSRR for the movie "Shoot Out" with Gregory Peck. It was subsequently renamed Progress for another movie. Pretty much all gone now but that movie was the first money earned by the railroad in 1970.

The school train pauses by the remains of the fake water tower that was built for "Indiana Jones and the Last crusade" in 1989. I'm surprised it is still standing. Movie companies did not build things to last.
