I'll note in passing that the 1919 ICC Valuation map copies the CRRM sells would be of use. You'd have to buy two sets to cover the whole line in question though.
as to if it's a good section to model, that rather depends on what you want to do. If you're into building impressive scenery, well it's not as great as others although there are still some areas of interest. If you want to operate with lots of switching, etc, there were/are quite a few places along the way where, depending on the period, loads originated/terminated.
It all depends on what your goals (and budget) are. Have fun.

ps Once upon a time, when I was much younger and haler (age in single digits), I had a dream of buying a section or so of land somewhere cheap and using it to accurately recreate all of SW Colorado in N scale. (1 mile = 160 scale miles). Now that would have been a life's worth of work!
