What do you guys think would have happened to the ET&WNC if it didn't decide to stop it's narrow gauge operations? Do you think they could have expanded across Tennessee and(or) North Carolina, or would have they started tourist operations? I'm trying to devise a plan for a model railroad of the narrow gauge portion of the ET&WNC had it survived after 1950, and it would include things like diesels, steam locomotives from other railroads, and possibly some United States Army equipment. Now, I know that a model railroader's imagination is not limited by history, but with this ET&WNC scenario, I want to try and be as logical as I can.
