I'm not saying don't post any Trainz stuff, it was nice to see your shots and I'd like to see more , its just that I have found the responses are limited , I think I posted some images of the Uintah route I'm building a year or so back and never got one comment ( it was early days and a WIP isnt all that impressive I suppose ) . Its rather hard to judge what people think as one isn't sure that virtual stuff is relevant to most folks here . I've created the whole proposed extension to Bonanza, using the plans in the Polley book and made it as prototypical as possible.
I understand this forum discourages modelling stuff unless from the perspective of protypical operastion, In this case ive post a couple of shots in the aim of getting feedback from anyone who has traveled in that area and get some informed feedback and criticism as I'll never be able to travel there myself, but I am aware that the degree of realism in a simulator is hard to achieve to many folks satisfaction.
This for instance is one of the bridges crossing evacuation creek near the white river , does it square with what people might think it would look like if it had been constructed ? I really don't think the extension ever could have been economical as the number of large bridges from Watson to White river were prohibitively large and expensive, there's some seriously remote and wild country in that 6 mile stretch, I worked out there had to be about 8 300 ft bridges in just one I mile section ,another four the size of the Georgetown bridge crossing evac creek and a 600+ bridge over the White river (photo 1 ), then a 6% grade up to Ute summit ( photo 2 ), I wish it had been built as it would have been fantastic to ride on.
