Here’s some more pictures I took on Trainz: A New Era while messing around with D&RG stuffs.
“Crossing over from New Mexico to Colorado!” D&RG No. 71 “Pacific Slope” and No. 95 “Embuda” rush through Cumbres Pass as they cross over the border into Colorado while pulling a passenger train, 1884.
A Class 56 2-8-0 pulls a freight train along the Silverton Branch of the San Juan Extension, 1887.

“Locomotives of the old and the new.” This photograph from an 1883 stereo view taken at Durango Roundhouse shows locomotives of various classes from various years of the D&RG’s life. Engines include Class 25 D&RG No. 1 “Montezuma”, Class 35 No. 3 “Shou-Wa-No”, Class 42 No. 95 “Embuda”, and Class 60’s No. 42 “Anglo-Saxon” and No. 220.
Bonus: Uintah Railway picture:
Uintah Railway No. 51 pulls a small train of Gilsonite and water and prepares to tackle the steep grade of Baxter Pass, including the famous Morro Castle Curve, in this photograph taken on March 26, 1932, in the midst of the Great Depression.
Sorry for the low quality by the way. Was in a hurry to save these to my phone tonight. I’ll post better quality if y’all want me to.
