Notice that in the top image the roundhouse has 10 stalls and in the bottom has 11? In 1881 the D&RG's Gunnison roundhouse was 6 stalls of stone construction. Around 1889 11 stalls of brick were added to the 6 stalls of stone. The wall to the right shows evidence of this addition in the bottom image. I suspect that the fire of 1905 destroyed the stone section of the 17 stall roundhouse and was not rebuilt. As for the top image the location of this 10 stall roundhouse is in fact Durango and is misidentified in many publications.
