Re: D&RGW Operations

Hi Jim,
My initial question seems to have gone far afield. While, I am intersted in Colorado narrow gauge, I am also interestd in the old DSS&A which mostly ran in upper Michigan. I was born almost three years after the railroad ceased to exist. I have interviewed retirees and I now have an understanding of the railroad's basic operations from the late 1940s through the 1950s. Although there is always still more to learn.
I am now trying to learn about the RGS and the D&RGW basic train operations in their later years. Thus, my initial question about train operatons in the mid-1950s. I understand stock extras in the fall. I am curious about the day to day wayfreight schedule be it by tiemtable or extras. (The DSS&A had one extra that ran six days a week for over 20 years and it was therefore never on an employee timetable.)
Sincerely,
Andy
