Dan, military photographers do not own the negs and slides they shoot. Sometimes we managed to save prints if not classified. Sometimes I took one of my personal Nikons but that could get you in trouble. When I was Chief of Photography at Air Force HQ in Germany I did a lot of photography from choppers and the crews would often detour over great sites along the Rhine and Mosel Rivers, so I have a lot of castle photos. Before I got the job at Ramstein, I was NCOIC of the photo lab at Sembach Air Base. We had OV10 Broncos, A10 Thunderbolt IIs (warthogs) and CH53s. I do have a lot of static shots as I never got to fly in an OV10 or A10. Did get some F15 photos at Bitburg, shot this photo the night before I got one of my F15 rides.
