To my understanding the first drawing Jerry posted is for the K-36 (class 189), with differences for the K-37 noted in a few places - most notably how the rear frame extension attaches to the frame (different bolt pattern). The frame extension itself is specifically for the K-36. I have the D&RGW engineering drawing for the K-37 frame extension and it is indeed essentially 10" longer than the K-36, besides other design differences. The front footplate is the same for each class, except for a few different pilot beam holes while the rear footplate is unique to each class. The cylinder casting(s) for the K-37 has to account for the different smokebox diameter but otherwise very much the same.
Wish there were as many drawings available for the K-28 (I've looked) as there are for the 36s and 37s.
