Interesting looking prototypes.

I have long been fascinated with the tiny NG-16 Garratts used on the WHR and in SA.

In looking at the images posted in the Dbl Farlie thread, it looks like the Kitson-Meyer locomotive has a long, rigid frame, unlike the Garratt which has a frame to supports its boiler suspended on two pivoting engines.

Which end for the engine does the Kitson-Meyer design pivot? Are the pivots located at the end of the frame, say where the cylinders are, roughly, or are they at the other end.

This is a fascinating design.
