Mike,
I was volunteering in Golden at the time.
None of the three coaches donated to the CRRM came with trucks of any sort.
The 284 rode around on a set of Andrews trucks for many years until the museum got enough in donations to have a set made.
We volunteers were quite disappointed when the 3 coaches were sold to the Huck (Don't forget the shell of the RGS coach). At that time, however, the restoration of these cars was way beyond the financial capablities of the CRRM.
