I would include Chokecherry. Some folk think of Chokecherry as a bush, but some grow to be small trees (10'-12' and sometimes taller). Chokecherry syrup and jelly are very tasty. My mother and others in Montana would make it. I had some "trees" at the first placed I lived in here in Pagosa Springs, but the birds would get the fruit before it would get ripe.
