The first trip up the hill to the current end of track. One more curve to go and then 600 feet of straight track to the end of the property, half of that will be 115 lb. rail, the remainder 110.

I wanted to add a rear window to the cab as well as finish up on a few things that didn't get done when I originally built the cab, so I pulled it off and took it home to work on it in my garage. 58 was modified during the restoration to allow the cab to be removed with a minimal of disruption to the locomotive. It only takes about 45 minutes to unbolt and remove the cab.

On the cab's trip back to the museum I swung by the 38" gauge Porter on display in Hubbard. This is one of the Carbon Limestone saddle tank locomotives of which sisters are in operation at Cedar Point and Hawaii.
