Back in the 90's I shot a lot of NS freights on my hometown line, and the local crew knew me after awhile. One time they were heading up the branch line with 80 grain cars. The brakeman had to relign the switch to the mainline, and asked me if I would give him a ride, rather than have to walk back 80 cars to the engine(No caboose).
