And after it runs its miles as RGS #42 or D&RG #420, it could mimic as logging engine Rio Grande & Pagosa Springs #32 and make some runs in and out of Chama. Thirty-two is the next engine built to the Baldwin Class Number and from same plans.
And then the Michigan fans can disguise it as Hancock and Calumet #5 and run it in that state.
Then the Chama boys would like to give it a run out of Chama as Terra Amarilla Southern #32 and just go north instesd of south out of town.
If all these locations took interest and invested in the engine as a unit of a rental company, it might pay to put a new boiler on it and fit the frame and get it out there collecting toll or rental. But it would never look right on the Durango & Silverton because it would be draped with flags of an entirely different era. And it wouldn't have that true weathered look of it era.
