The two spurs that were behind Krogers Ace hardware were referred to as the north yard. Originally industrial sidings, they were used past 1970 to store remaining freight equipment. In 2005 the City of Durango wanted an alleyway there so the D&S Auctioned off most of the remaining cars (also removing a lot of parts like retainers from them
