Looking at the specifications that were marked up for the Sumpter Valley coaches, it appears that these were not what the SV cars were built-to in 1918.
The 1910 specification for the never built 1910 car includes wood framing where the builder's photo of the SV car framing shows steel.
By the time of the SV cars construction, steel framing was the norm for new cars built for service in the United States.
