Yes, I guess it was "full size", got the post from above confused when I wrote the last one. The above poster said that it looked "full sized". I really don't know what I'm talking about so I assume that he does. No one has still given a definition of "full size" and 3/4 size (assuming that it was 3/4 of a full). Was a coupler on a Uintah flatcar then the same size as a New York Central steel hopper car......... just seems strange, as I would think that a modern standard guage car would be much larger. Or are we talking about the demensions of the coupler or some other characteristic? Are there double size? 1 1/2 size? Also, how has the modern coupler changed in designe, compared to what was used on the Uintah / D&RG , etc in the 1930's? Were there different patents and companies that made them or just one basic designe and manufacturer ( no better mouse traps here)......... what desgine won out?
Lastely, since there is little evidence on the board as to what the Uintah's extra equipement showed up with on the D&RG, can someone please explain how, in relation to other pieces of equipment, differentiate beweent full and 3/4 size.
