The SV had a similar experience a few years back, only it involved four wheelers. apparently the #19 had just cleared the rock cut when two ATVs tore around the curve. On went the emergency brakes, and after much yelling and cursing by the crew the train proceeded on to Sumpter. The riders explanation was also that they thought the line was abandoned, apparently they didn't comprehend that abandoned tracks aren't shiny.
