Rodger- you just never know what will be there until you poke around. Last summer a friend and I spent about an hour in Mina, Nevada at the site of the SP narrow gauge shops and found a stephenson valve gear strap off one of the small narrow gauge engines. It was all but buried except for about 2 inches of exposed unexciting metal. There was lots of other junk there as well but you can't haul everything home...
